Facing up to the New French Wine: Jon Bonné

When I set off for California in 2016, The New California Wine was my bible – and led me to some brilliant producers. When The New Wine Rules was released in 2018, I went to the launch and spoke to Jon Bonné about a new book – one that was likely to be published the following year. That book was finally released in March of this year – an oeuvre of two volumes and over 800 pages that attempts to capture the complicated face of postmodern France. I sat down with the author to talk about wines, people and revolution that inspired it.
